Refund policy
Every Bug Repellent Clothing item is made to order — your hoodie or socks are printed and sewn only after you place your order. Nothing sits in a warehouse, which keeps waste down, and it also means we handle returns a little differently from a big-box retailer. Here's exactly where you stand.
If something is wrong with your order
If your item arrives damaged, misprinted, or defective, or you receive the wrong item, we will replace it or refund it in full — your choice. There is no charge to you and you do not need to ship the original back unless we ask.
Email us within 30 days of delivery with:
- your order number
- a photo of the item showing the problem
- a photo of the packing slip or shipping label
We respond within 2 business days and, once confirmed, a replacement goes into production immediately or your refund is issued to the original payment method.
If you ordered the wrong size, or changed your mind
We accept exchanges within 30 days of delivery on items that are unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with any tags attached.
- You cover return shipping to us; we cover shipping the replacement back to you.
- Email us first for a return address — parcels sent without contacting us cannot be processed.
- Once the returned item arrives and passes inspection, the replacement goes into production.
Because each item is produced individually for you, we are not able to offer cash refunds for change of mind or sizing. We would much rather get you into the right size — please check the size guide on each product page before ordering, and email us if you are between sizes. We would genuinely rather answer a sizing question than process a return.
Colour and print variation
These are all-over printed, cut-and-sew garments. Slight variation in stripe placement between individual garments, and minor colour variation along seams (especially on the socks), is normal for this process and is not considered a defect.
Lost or badly delayed parcels
If tracking shows your parcel as lost, or it has not moved for 14 days, contact us and we will open a claim with the carrier and reship at no cost to you.
Cancellations
Email us as soon as possible. We can cancel an order before it enters production, usually within a few hours of ordering. Once printing has started the order can no longer be cancelled.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Canadian consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act (Alberta).
